The former home of JP Morgan bank on Broad Street was one of the fist conversions in the financial district. Located directly across from the New York Stock Exchange, "Downtown by Philippe Stark" as it is now known, provides the ultimate urban experience.

My clients have two children and needed three bedrooms, a scarce commodity in downtown condos. The apartment they found had been office space with no build outs, so we were able to divide the main room to add the two extra bedrooms. What that meant was the space that was long and narrow would become even narrower. The new dividing wall had be an additive feature, not an imposing barrier. When I found the natural birch bark panels the tone of the design was set... a natural palette, soft, warm and welcoming with at bit of city sizzle added to the mix.
