When they purchased this apartment, the homeowners were excited to embark on the adventure of high-rise living, but found the existing unit uninspiringly staid and conservative.
The foyer was re-imagined as an elegant and dramatic entryway, with bold shapes and deep, saturated tones. Nero marquina marble floors, slate, copper-colored wall coverings, and lacquered woodwork sets up a dramatic transition to the light-washed living room and dining areas.
Enhancing the sense of scale, a wall between the breakfast room and dining area was removed, and the newly created opening flanked with built-in wine coolers. Sculptural furnishings define the sky-high aerie and feel of-a-piece with the breathtaking views.
